KKK fliers target Orange County for recruitment

ORANGE, Calif. (AP) — Ku Klux Klan recruitment fliers are being dropped in an Orange County neighborhood, using illegal immigration as an issue to attract new members.

The Orange County Register said Thursday (http://bit.ly/1njjqOb ) that residents of 15 homes in the city of Orange reported finding KKK fliers in their yards last weekend.

They bear the slogan "Save Our Land Join The Klan." The newspaper says a call to a number on the flier results in a message advocating a "shoot to kill" policy along the border.

Patricia Dufrane says she and her neighbors consider the campaign threatening — and perplexing, since the neighborhood has residents of various ethnic groups.

Other leaflet campaigns have occurred recently in Virginia and North Carolina.
