SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (AP) — Police say two people found dead in a Simi Valley cul-de-sac were neighbors and they're calling it an apparent murder-suicide. Police say a woman's body was found in front of a home at about 7 a.m. yesterday and a man's body was found in the front yard of a nearby home. The Ventura County Star reports a handgun also was found.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A co-host of the HGTV show "Curb Appeal" has been killed in a motorcycle accident in San Francisco. The San Francisco medical examiner identified 38-year-old Bill Beckwith as the victim of a crash near the city's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood last night. He was riding a motorcycle that was struck by a car.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Judy Rodgers, the award-winning chef-owner of San Francisco's Zuni Cafe, has died. She was 57. Gilbert Pilgram, her business partner and longtime friend, said Rodgers died Monday after succumbing to cancer of the appendix. The James Beard Foundation named the Zuni Cafe 2003's Outstanding Restaurant in America.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) —Authorities have finished their second day of searching for a small plane that disappeared in the mountains of central Idaho. Ground and air crews are searching for the plane piloted by software executive Dale Smith, of San Jose, Calif., who reported engine trouble Sunday before losing radio contact. Five people were on board flying from Baker City, Ore., to Butte, Mont.
